DMXS Party
Was it John Travolta? Was it Boy George? Was it Michael Flaherty
from the river dance....NO Folks....it was all 3 in one, thats
right Jason " I dance like a homo in heat " Weigandt
was TEARING up the dance floor at Moondogs last night for a
solid hour, he had the stage all to himself and performed for
the delighted crowd to the techno beat waifting through the
spacious club. Center stage though was jason, i can only describe
his fluid moves as " brilliant " with 70's era style
cues coming from travolta himself and the disturbing lack of
joint tissue much akin to the well know flaherty being pulled
off with astounding accuracy
Jason...you have chosen the wrong profession, your true calling
is to put down the mic, wax the dancing shoes and head back
to your roots, except keep going over the river into New York
and enroll in the academy of arts.... your headed for broadway
baby!
No party goers were injured during the course of jasons performance!

Makita Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael
to Participate in Charity Ride after Atlanta Supercross
BREA, Calif. (Feb. 23, 2005) - American Suzuki Motor Corporation
(ASMC) today announced that Team Makita Suzuki Racing’s
Ricky Carmichael will appear at the DMXS Charity Ride for Ataxia-Telangiectasia
(A-T) at Bremen Race Park, in Bremen, Ga., this Sunday, Feb.
27, after the THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series
in Atlanta.
"This cause hits close to me because it affects a very
close friend of mine,” said Carmichael. “Savanna
is the beautiful daughter of Heath Hamrick and she suffers from
A-T. My goal is to help raise awareness to this disease and
hopefully help raise some money to support the continued research
for a cure."
To further benefit the Ride for A-T, Fox Racing has created
four specific sets of gear for Carmichael to wear at the Atlanta
Supercross. The unique gear will then be auctioned off in both
the Atlanta pits on Saturday, Feb. 26 and at the DMXS Charity
Ride on Feb. 27. Carmichael will also donate the Butterfinger
Hole Shot money ($1,500) to Ride for A-T if he wins the hole
shot in Atlanta.
All money raised in the DMXS Charity Ride for A-T will benefit
the A-T Children’s Project. Last year, more than $25,000
was raised in the inaugural event. “As a parent whose
daughter has been afflicted with the A-T disease, this event
is very special to me,” said Hamrick, the event organizer.
This year, the DMXS Charity Ride for A-T includes freestyle,
step-up and all classes of racing on a separate, full-blown
mini-bike track. Pro riders will be there to sign autographs
and participate in the pro-only practice, so fans can get an
up-close look at their favorite riders.
Admission to the event is $10, or $15 to ride. For more information,
log on to www.ride4at.com or contact Heath Hamrick (678) 300-7773.

This weekend was a triple header in the world
of moto....San Diego saw Chad Reed pass RC late in the race
to take the win for the first time this season, while Nathan
Ramsey won on the 125's ...since Icant be in 3 places at once
Iopted to try for 2 out of 3 and was able to attend the Chicago
IFMA on friday and the Indy Trade Show on Saturday. In Chicago,
Clear Channel had a triple header as well, one show friday night
saw Beau Bamburg nac nac flip his way into first place and on
Saturday afternoon it was Phoenix Arizona's Jim McNeil taking
the win with Beau slipping back to 4th, Bamburg got back to
his A-game again and won on Saturday night for the 3rd show.
Jim McNeil has several variations of his backflip...if he had
not been knocked unconscious at the Winter-X games on his backflip
attempt he may be sporting gold right now. Check out this one
handed flip sequence of Jim from Chicago this weekend!

Indy Trade Show and Dealer Expo has too many booths and new
product to look at in one day, there are literally thousands
of new products for the motorcycle industry under several roofs
( The RCA Dome as well as several convention center buildings
) upstairs, downstairs, in hallways...everywhere you look are
bikes, quads, neon lights and even a plethora of dancing girls
( ok so they didnt dance, but they look like they should have,
albeit with a pole )

James Stewart was on hand signing autographs at the FOX booth
and Oakley, he was looking very good and in good spirits, wont
be long now! I spoke to FOX's Sandra Egger and she said he is
young and healing fast, that the crash in Phoenix wasnt from pushing
too hard, it was just an accident, accidents happen and James
will be back soon! Rumor around the trade show was "Orlando
James" will return, lets hope so.. Supercross has missed
him.

I would need a week to see every booth at Indy but here is a
pic of just one section of one room to give you an idea just
how much there is to see in this place....this photo equals
aproximately 3% of the entire show...ITS HUGE!!!!

Indy is a cool town and Supercross went smoothly last night
( with no blizzard this year thankfully ) with a crowd of 52,833
shouting their approval of RC winning yet another race. Ironic
that it was this same crowd who started the booing streak not
long ago. My, how things change! Ricky is really enjoying himself
and it shows in his face, he has matured as not only an athlete
but as a decision maker within the team and thats right where
he wants to be. He even went so far as to mention in the press
conference that its always the same two guys asking questions
( Thanks Teefus and WordNerd ) looks like we will have to stop
being so PC and start asking the tough questions? What questions
would you like us to ask him? The others? Feel free to email
me and let us know what you wanna know!
Danya has been busting her tush at the races putting images
up for everyone pretty quick, Gif Animations of the holeshot
and has all our images posted the same night for the industry
folks looking to browse for ads or images for features. Look
to us for all of your one stop shopping needs :) We plan on
being at most of the remaining SX rounds and all of the Nationals
this year including Loretta's and some of the major amateur
events as well.
Here are a few more pics from the main event last night, enjoy
and let us know what we can do to make your visit to our site
a better one.

February 11, 2005 - RCA Dome. Ricky Carmichael once again won
practice but as you can see below, he was watching the competition
very carefully, this photo of RC was when they come back on
to the start straight after the whoops and he was chasing Reed
and watching him over the triple, Ricky was the first one in
practice to do a triple then double over the camel hump technical
section. He is simply on the gas with no signs of letting up.

Chad Reed put a move on Iron Mike in practice
that probably wasnt the smartest thing to do, Im not sure what
happened before this but chad came off the finish line triple
and came in under - and hot on Mike, putting the Amsoil rider
to the ground as you can see here. Reed needs to be fast and
smooth, pissing off riders like Mike LaRocco in his home town
isnt gonna help speedy reedy gain any points on RC if he is
bouncing across some Scott tough blocks on his back. Watch Iron
Mike tomorrow night to see what happens.

Kevin Windham has taken a few hard spills over
the last few weeks but he was looking smooth today, Kdub has
one of the most stylish whips ever and judging from this one
he might be feeling better, lets hope Kevin is back up to speed
and gets in the mix in Indy

Tyler Evans looks faster and faster every weekend,
he keeps charging and you have to respect his tenacity, this
guy isnt gonna go away easily, if his results keep improving
we might just see him and ( hopefully ) Nick Wey on factory
teams very soon!
