Guess Who's flipping now?  Travis Pastrana is becoming the kingpin of getting people, anyone...to backflip into his foampit, we have heard of GSXR's flipping into...er ....beyond his foam pit, rumors of lawnmowers, and now he has finally added photographers to the foam pit flippin crew...thats Steve Densmore on chuck carothers 250 nailing a perfect flip into the pit at Travis house shortly after the unadilla national.  Whats next?  old people, babies in strollers?   god only knows...  kudo's to densy, this is definately a first  :)

07/24/2004 - Goodbye Kenworthy's  ...  To alot of people that is a sad thing to hear, and to some others it is great news, The longtime kenworthy's national has seen its last outdoor national as it is being replaced by a round in 2005 at Denver, Colorado .... Kenworthy's has been known as a classically rutted and rough east coast style of track, hot, humid and fast, it has always drawn alot of people there every year despite the flat viewing areas, being deep in a field surrounded by tree's where the humidity seems to saturate every inch of your body and the lack of unadilla or steel city style hills. This photographer wont miss all the orange cones or blue barrels that seem to find themselves in every photo too, but i will miss being only 2 hours from a pro national. James stewart etched his name into the final tally at the Troy track by going 1-1 to take the overall, and yup....you guessed it, His FOX sponsored compatriot did the same thing ... at least kenworthy's went out in style with the two all time best mx racers in the world dominating their facility. Thanks for the memories Don and Sue ...  here is an all RC -Bubba Tribute to Troy...enjoy the pics.

What a difference a year makes! Last year, at Southwick, the rains came down and flooded us into a sandy oblivion, while at Unadilla it was perfect weather (just look at Paul Buckleys shot on the cover of the great outdoors as testament to that)  this year the poles reversed and Southwick enjoyed epic weather while Unadilla got pounded, as my mom likes to say "it was like a cow pissin on a flat rock". Despite the rain it was back to business as usual for Bubba as he ran away with a 1-1 from the rest of the field, RC had a scary moment in the first moto when he got his leg stuck in a rut, he went straight away to the big rig to ice it up for the 2nd moto, in which he got the holeshot and rode smartly for the win and overall victory. Sebastian Tortelli was riding very well and for only his 2nd race back from a long overdue return he showed some real speed, in the post race press conference he admitted his speed still wasnt topped out, that he will be 100% in the next few races.  If everyone can stay healthy, Anaheim1 Jan 8th, 2005 is going to be the race of the century.
Here are a few Dilla photo's, Enjoy

The first annual Michigan Mafia Mini Mo-Down (say that three times really fast) went down this weekend at Dutch MX Park in Bloomingdale, Michigan. Big thanks go out to Bobby and Lisa for setting us up with an awesome spot under the pavilion and putting on a great race! Sarah Whitmore was in the house and she took the overall for the weekend over her competition in the pro womens class. The sandy conditions in some areas of the track proved to be a little rough for the smaller guys and girls but at least when they went down, it was soft.  :)  The Dutchsportparkmx.com facility is a beautiful facility and has tons of amenities for the racing family - outside shower, playground for the children, center pavilion area for 360° spectating, plenty of concession and vendor areas, covered starting line - the list goes on and on. I highly reccomend this facility if you have never been there, if you have...you already know how great it is.

Press Release - 2004-2005 THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series, National and Regional Arenacross Series and IFMA Freestyle Motocross On-Sale Dates Announced.

07/04/2004 - Ricky Carmichael - man or machine?  July 4th, 2004 the machine from the 'citrus state' was having alot of fun on the somewhat sandy Red Bud Track and Trail facility. Ricky went 1-1 for a continuation of his "perfect season" (so far, anyway). RC was seen by the weathered and weary fans of Reeedddd Buuuuuuuuudddd doing can-cans over the brand new 100 foot step down table top, humongous whips up and over Larocco's leap - a behemoth of a jump that is legendary on the outdoor circuit. He holeshot the first moto and hasnt been seen yet, not by his competition anyway.

Bubba's chances of having a perfect 125cc season are over, before he ever made it to the first turn no less. A tangle with another rider left him face down on the dirt and opened the door for seasoned veteran Mike Brown to get the overall, not before he made an incredible 18 passes after he remounted - IN ONE LAP, only to fall a few more times and suffer a DNF due to clutch problems. Mike Brown rode consistent and smooth and deserved the overall but it is still clear who is the fastest man in the 125 class right now.

Iron Mike made his first outdoor appearance as well and even though he has been "the least prepared ever" (his own words) for an outdoor national, he still put in a strong ride ahead of most of the field finishing 9-6 for sixth overall. Not bad for an old guy who hasn't raced in over 3 months. In other RedBud news, Bevo Forti from Scott Goggles was inducted into the RedBud hall of fame.
Here are some pics, Enjoy!
