CRUSTY DEMONS GLOBAL ASSAULT TOUR 2004

CANCELS REMAINING SUMMER TOUR DATES

(SAUSALITO, Calif.) June 28, 2004 – Crusty U.S.A. Touring Company announced today that it has canceled the remaining summer tour dates of 22-city Crusty Demons Global Assault Tour 2004 due to the volatile state of the touring market during the summer 2004 season. Following the successful staging of the first four shows of the U.S. tour in Phoenix, Oakland, Fresno and Los Angeles, promoters decided that the tour should be postponed until market conditions improve. Crusty U.S.A. Touring Company regrets any inconvenience to athletes, fans, tour partners and ticket holders. Tickets will be redeemed at point of purchase.

"It is unfortunate that the entertainment industry is experiencing such a serious downturn this summer - many big name tours have been cancelled," said crusty touring CEO Michael Porra. "Our first four shows went really well, and crowds have been really amped on the Crusty action. However with sales trends slowing across the country, we felt we should concentrate on our Asian and European legs of the tour and conclude the U.S. leg when more favorable market conditions prevail."

The Crusty Demons Global Assault Tour performed sell out shows in New Zealand and Australia in May and June 2004 and will now move on to China, Japan and Europe later this year and throughout 2005.

The following U.S. Crusty Demons Global Assault Tour dates will be cancelled:

06/26/2004 - Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima, Ohio played host to the Flat Track Grand National Series once again, where the likes of Scott Parker, Ricky Graham, Steve Morehead, Chris Carr, and last year's main event winner, Joe Kopp, have all made their mark. George Roeder holds the 4 lap track record at Allen County, set last June 28th with a time of 1:43.375 and Chris Carr still holds the all time 25 lap record with a time of 10:45.677.  Chris came close to winning the main event, but after his holeshot, he fell short and let George Roeder by to take home the win. It was a beautiful day for racing and the fans of this discipline are one of a kind and fiercely loyal. There is alot of history behind flat tracking and the completely full grandstands were evidance of the core following.

6/25/2004 - Today isnt a big day in motocross per say, no races or news within the industry to speak of, but it does happen to be a special day today. Today is my Moms birthday. I love you mom, Happy Birthday :) Thank you for everything you have done to help me get this far, you have always been my biggest fan and supporter and I hope you know just how special you are to me, have a wonderful day :)
Happy Birthday, Mom!

6/20/2004 - Trevor Vines also made an appearance at the Star Boyz Stunt Fest, Trevor was all smiles as usual and was happy as punch to be healthy and jumping dirtbikes again. Trevor is the consumate professional and its always a pleasure shooting him. A huge crowd made their way over from the track to the ramp setup to watch Vinesey kill it on the 75 footer.
Keep it up Trevor :)

6/19/2004 - The Star Boyz & crew are at it again, only this time they aren't doing their stunts at the stop light in front of you, or in the mall parking lot, they are doing it at Thompson Dragway (the oldest drag strip in the state of Ohio) The Star Boyz stunt fest is here for the 5th time and its pretty awesome folks, if you thought these guys were just Johnny-Scoff-Laws you would be wrong. The talent it takes to ride a wheelie the length of a 1/4 mile track (oh yea, while going as fast as they can....a timed event) or a closed off square with 15 guys on bikes all riding wheelies trying to outlast the other (yea, they ride wheelies on 450lb street bikes around in circles) or the talent required to go 130 mph towards a line then slamming on their front brake and riding on the front wheel for 1000 feet before touching down the rear wheel is something to see first hand. check out the photo!
Don't try this at home!!!

6/12/2004 - Ahhh Madrid .... A city of old world architecture and new world techno, Tapas and bull fighting (which the older generation loves and the younger despises.) My 2nd trip there in as many years brought me to the city of Madrid, only briefly however, my final destination was the outlying town of Guadarrama where a big local race brought in the talent of some of Spains best along with America's own "Factory" Phil Lawrence and his lovely girlfriend April...as well as Tommy Hofmaster and his now Fiance Kara Hillmer. Tommy proposed to Kara in Madrid on a romantic balcony overlooking the city and she accepted, Congratulations guys :)
"BAD" Billy Ursic was my traveling companion in Spain. He raced alongside Phil and Tommy and put in a pretty good showing, stay tuned for an upcoming feature.

6/12/2004 - Factory Phil had a good time in spain .... with the track and scenery, who wouldnt? Elevation changes were par for the course at this beautiful facility. Even though it would be too small for an American National, it provided plenty of toughness for the Americans. Tommy said it was just about the roughest track he ever rode on, and some pretty big jumps added to the excitement and fans get to be right on the edge of the track giving it a rally type feel, cool...but dangerous stuff.

6/4/2004 - When you look at his jersey it reads " RENNER " no matter how you look at it, upside down or rightside up it still spells one thing.... SICK!!! My homeboy Ronnie Renner has finally beaten his backflip demons into submission and conquered the backflip. This past friday June 4th Ronnie made personal history with his very first successful backflip on dirt.
Way to go Ronnie, we knew you could do it all along! :)

6/5/2004 - Mid East Regional Qualifier at Sunday Creek Raceway near Athens, Ohio this weekend brought almost 900 of the best amateur racers in the country, all of them aspiring to be the next Team Green superstar or Factory Cobra champ... maybe even the next Grant Langston! And all of them were winners in their parents' eyes, this photo says it all... its why we do what we do.
Thank god for motocross!

6/1/2004 - While all of you Mt Morrisons and daughters were recouping from your memorial weekend bliss, I, your ever serving photohound was pounding out the miles in my trusty Jeep Wrangler heading straight from the cool confines of Dave Broziks office (which I commandeered for the weekend, Thanks Dave) right to the front doorstep of Road Racing Ace, Roger Lee Hayden, for a photo shoot. Turns out Roger is quite multi talented and a helluva nice, laid back guy .... after the photo shoot was finished, he even threw on some gear and did a few laps of his track in the back forty for me to snap a few pics of our side of the sport..... look close, yup....thats Brittany Spears herself on the back of his helmet. No word as of yet if they are officially a couple......Stay Tuned
