October 17, 2004 - The Redbud Grass Race is the motocross equivalent of spring break. It is the last race of the year at the legendary circuit and it brings out some real characters ( where was Rupert X? ) Tim Ritchie, son of the charismatic Gene Ritchie (pictured below)

Hung up his Carharts and tractor keys for a helmet and thor riding gear to see how he could go around the track that he has seen more of than just about anyone on the planet. How did he do? Well, he was so good that he is gracing the next cover of Racer-X, that's how good! Way to go Tim ...you da man :)

Disclaimer!! - Tim, sorry, but you're not ACTAULLY going to be on the real cover of Racer-X.
Mike LaRocco showed up and looked to be having a good time at the relaxed racing environment, his son, Ryder LaRocco was racing in his 2nd ever motocross race and like a chip off the old block, managed to almost loop out the start and get a back of the pack start, ironically...he was also like his dad in that he moved forward in the placings as the race went on. Father and son seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely

Thanks to everyone for coming to our booth, I enjoyed meeting everyone, we will be at Log Road this weekend.
See you there! :)
October 8-10, 2004 - Las Vegas Nevada, The U.S Open of Supercross has come and gone and for a second year in a row Chad Reed has walked away with 100 large, albeit with a little bit of help from Ricky Carmichael and his bad luck in Vegas, first, RC allowed Chad by on Friday so he could follow him around and watch Chad's lines with the intention of passing him back. That didn't work out so well for the champ ... Ricky's perfect outdoor season ended abruptly the moment he let Chad go. Late in the race Ricky tightened up and just couldn't stay with Reed who walked away with the easy win. The hot lap was a short one as the Vegas track is not much bigger than a national arenacross course, here RC and CR get ready to thrill the fans with 30 seconds of excitement.
New York New York is a cool casino that resembles the famous city's skyline. Think we will ever get a supercross there? Probably not, it's a logistical nightmare even though the market would probably sell out. Don't be looking for a SX at a Madison Square Garden near you.
Besides gambling, neon lights and motocross, what else do you expect to find in great quantities and qualities in Las Vegas? Yup, you guessed it, WOMEN! Lots of em! Here is one of those two legged creatures now!
Chad Reed was once again flying through the whoops, in Saturday night's main event he made up 4 seconds in one lap on Ricky. NO, not the lap that ricky crashed, either. Reedy was absolutely flying and will be a major threat all winter long to the undisputed king of the outdoors, look for Chad to give it his all, he wants it really bad!
Not even the pharoh's from the Luxor were going to help Ricky this time in Vegas. With just a few laps to go in the Saturday main his bike stuttered and failed as he headed towards the outside section of the track at the MGM. Lets hope it was flukey and Ricky and Reed have awesome battles all winter long.
Ricky showed that he has the speed to beat anyone on the planet in Supercross, when he gets the new wrinkles ironed out with his new ride he is going to be a constant threat every weekend, throw James Stewart in the mix and its going to be a very interesting year.
Nick Wey came to Vegas literally with just a few days notice. He managed to throw together a few last second deals and essentially rode Vegas as a full on privateer and came away with 2nd place ( due to RC having a mechanical ). Nick was off the top pace of Ricky and Chad but showed real consistency and his desire to be the very best he can be on his dirtbike. Nick is a great guy and deserves some good support. Look at him getting the jump on the big boys on a pretty stock bike...nice.
October 3rd 2004 - Delta Raceway conveniently located in ...yup, you guessed it, Delta ohio had their final race of the season over the weekend and the place was packed, Matt Maximoff showed up and was really on the gas with some impressive speed on the MRA track, pretty easily taking the loot home with him in all 3 motos, The series was the stars of today and tomorrow, maximoff was definately the star of the day.
The star of tomorrow is literally just days away from potentially becoming just that " a rising star " Seth Harnishfeger from bowling green ohio ( just a stones throw from myself and the Delta facility ) not only qualified for this weekends U.S open 50cc KTM supercross challenge in las vegas nevada at the MGM Grand hotel and casino, but swept two of his three motos at delta, a freshly watered track led to his demise ( and a 2nd place finish ) in his first moto in the exhibition class, a class designed to allow the fast 50 riders ride on the big track. ( on a personal note, seth got up in 5th place and worked his way back to a not so distant 2nd...ON A 50!!!!! thats a pretty amazing feat for an 8 yr old.
Check out seth's style aboard his 50 Sr ... There is a 55 foot finish line double at delta and seth is the only 50 there clearing it...barely, oh yea...he doubles most of the other jumps on the track too, look for him at the MGM if you are heading there this weekend
